Company Description:

COMMERCIAL INFRARED INSPECTION SERVICES AND THERMAL IMAGING IN NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, AND LONG ISLAND

INFRARED THERMAL IMAGING SERVICES is a division of BUILDINGTECH INSPECTION SERVICES LLC, provides consulting and testing services to assist in diagnosing building deficiencies in commercial properties.

We detect and document building moisture and map it to its source with infrared thermography for our clients include architects, engineers, contractors, government agencies, building managers, energy managers, realtors, and other related professionals.

Our expertise is in infrared imaging and commercial building envelope evaluations. Using our proven inspection techniques, along with high-resolution infrared thermography (IR) equipment, we can rapidly identify costly hidden damage behind walls and under roofing. This inspection provides the owner or purchaser with an accurate understanding of the building’s structural integrity so informed decisions can be made. Our inspections have identified significant hidden water intrusions that have saved millions of dollars due to early detection and repair.

In addition to envelope evaluations, we perform energy audits and energy assessments. Not only do we find all sources of energy loss, but we develop a plan for energy improvements and calculated a return on investment (ROI).

Infrared Thermal Imaging Services also provides water and air infiltration field-testing. We perform testing procedures for new construction quality assurance testing or forensic water intrusion diagnostic services. Our forensic testing services recreate reported water intrusions so the exact failure point can be identified for accurate repairs.

1. COOLING SYSTEMS AND HEAT-GENERATING EQUIPMENT

Capturing the current condition of the cooling system is the start of the IRt process. Thermal Mapping is a new approach to gather and present that data. Thermal mapping allows IT management, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) professionals, consultants and contractors a construct to understand heat-related problems in the data center. It also makes it possible to compare the results to the CFD models used to design them. Because the complete picture is captured in-situ, issues that were not obvious when the room and cooling system were designed become apparent.

2. ELECTRICAL POWER DISTRIBUTION AND MECHANICAL SYSTEMS

Performing infrared P/PM on electrical and mechanical equipment is crucial to continuous operation and well accepted in the power industry as standard best practice. In fact, electrical IR has been the most accepted of all IR applications and there are many technical papers on the subject.Infrared predictive maintenance is a must at any data center. The electrical switchgear, motors and motor controls, HVAC equipment, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), automatic transfer switches (ATS), power distribution units (PDU), batteries and generator equipment and all electrical devices that feed the server systems must be checked with infrared thermography and other testing on a regular basis to assure super-high reliability.

ELECTRICAL INFRARED INSPECTION SERVICES AND THERMAL IMAGING IN NEW JERSEY

Infrared thermography is used to perform Preventive & Predictive Maintenance inspections on equipment because relationship with resistance on electrical equipment indicates electrical faults such as loose connections, overloaded or imbalancedcircuits, faulty breakers, damaged switches, faulty fuses and a wide range of other unwanted electrical conditions.

Before an electrical component fails as result from heat, Isolate and repair electrical problems before they occur with our electrical IR Inspections. Thermography is used to see the excess heat from (resistance) so that problems can conveyed to maintenance personnel then act to correct the problem before the component fails, causing damage to the component, Reduce interruption and increase revenues with an infrared electrical test. Also reduce safety hazards and or production downtime.

We can perform IR Inspections/Survey: Electrical distribution systems, Motor rebuilding, Dry  or liquid filled type transformers, Breaker control cabinets, Outdoor substations arrestors, Electrical Switchgears, Parallel Feed Conductors, Electrical A/C or D/C capacitors, Single phase power panels, Electrical UPS systems, Emergency power systems, Load Break Elbows, MMC Buckets, Lightning Arrestors, PLC cabinets, Lighting Circuit Breakers, Electrical Bus Ducts, Grounding systems.

Electrical infrared surveys for Preventive/Predictive Maintenance of electrical components is recognized by most industry professionals and insurance companies. Thermal imaging or Electric ScanIR can detect hot spots in the electrical system not visible to the naked eye which may be a precursor to a larger issue. Therefore, we can inspect and locate issues before there is a costly outage. An annual inspection can increase safety and can be used by an insurance company to assess the potential risk of a commercial business.

We provide detailed, high-quality and easy to understand infrared inspection reports that thoroughly document our findings. The resulting report can be a great aid for electricians hired to do the repair the identified issues.
